Shivangi Mehta

Shivangi Mehta knew she wanted to be a lawyer at just ten years of age. Her parents grew up in India and came to the United States to start a family. Her parents have advocated for people in different ways their entire lives, and Shivangi knew that her skills would be best suited for a legal career. Her parents also emphasized the importance of education, so as a first-generation lawyer, Shivangi tirelessly represents people who need a voice and helps them understand their legal rights in case of an injury.

A personal injury attorney in our Austin office, Shivangi focuses her practice on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death cases, truck accidents, gas explosions, traumatic brain injuries, water injuries, car accidents, dog bite injuries, product injuries, and more. She is currently licensed in Texas, but she is also pursuing licensure in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.

While in law school, Shivangi won first place in a prestigious moot court competition, received a university award, was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, and co-directed a moot court competition attended by law schools across the country. She also served as a fellow with the Ohio Innocence Project, clerked with Federal Magistrate Judge Stephanie K. Bowman, and worked with the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. An active member of her community, Shivangi is a provisional member of the Junior League of Houston and is a Texas Trial Lawyers Association member.
